Bakery Assistant (Part-Time)

Gahanna Cinnamon Swirls – Gahanna, OH

Gahanna Cinnamon Swirls is a fast-growing, family-owned home bakery specializing in handcrafted gourmet cinnamon rolls. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team and help us create an exceptional experience for our customers each week.

This is a hands-on role in a clean, fast-paced home kitchen where every cinnamon roll is made from scratch. No bakery experience is required—we're happy to train the right person!

Schedule

  • Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Approximately 24 hours per week

  • Potential for additional hours during busy seasons, special events, markets, or as the business continues to grow

  • No evenings or weekends

Pay

  • $15–17/hour, depending on experience

  • Paid training

Responsibilities

  • Making buttercream icing

  • Icing and packaging finished cinnamon rolls

  • Labeling boxes and preparing customer orders

  • Washing dishes and cleaning bakery equipment

  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen throughout the day

  • Restocking ingredients and supplies

  • Assisting with production and other bakery tasks as needed

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable

  • Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently

  • Comfortable standing for extended periods

  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Organized and enjoys keeping a clean workspace

  • Positive, hardworking, and eager to learn

  • Comfortable occasionally appearing in social media content

Food service or baking experience is a plus, but no bakery experience is required. We're happy to train someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and attention to detail.
